During elementary school, and after seeing some of Dean’s drawing, his teacher encouraged him to attend classes at the Cleveland Museum of Art. that was the beginning of his art career.
Dean’s professional life as a commercial artist spanned 45 years as an illustrator and retoucher. He was a master of the air-brush with his work appearing in Time Magazine, US News & Worldwide Report, Fortune Magazine and many others.
Since his retirement, dean has devoted his art to transparent watercolors. He loves the challenge and finds it exciting. which is reflected in his work.
