Artist Karen Hopwood
Painting is a wonderful way of expressing myself through a line, form, shape, and color. Inspired by a photograph, a color scheme or something I’ve seen in nature. A sunset, rock formation or the colors of the ocean may be the start of an idea. I love to experiment with colors and textures and combining them with different mediums to see how they interact. I have always been interested in various forms of fine art and have experimented with ceramics, enameling, and silversmithing.
Karen Hopwwod’s work has exhibited at shows, Corporate collections, and galleries nationally. From right here in Geauga County some of her work will be on display at Artisans’ Corner Gallery beginning The end of September. I invite to see this extraordinary use of color and texture.
